Aquarian Tarot

[edit] Description
Aquarian Tarot is a Waite-Smith clone done in art deco style. By the theme the deck is medieval. On the box of the Morgan Press editions of this deck, it is described as an "authentic interpretation of the medieval Tarot".
A uniform palette is used throughout the paintings: Chinese orange/red dominates stark backgrounds and all of the figures have pale, masklike faces. The backgrounds are stylized and rather minimalistic, and the scenes on the cards generally are zoomed in to provide more of a closeup shot of the person depicted than is generally the case in the Waite-Smith deck. The deck is almost devoid of occult symbolism.
