[edit] Description

The Golden Tarot of the Tsar is one of Lo Scarabeo's "gold" decks. It features a metallic gold "foil" printing, which gives the impression that one is holding a miniature gilded "icon" in the style of Russian miniatures.

The deck overflows with Christian iconography, sometimes the images are easily recognizable, at other times it is more obscure requiring a look at the Little White Booklet to understand the deck's iconography. The titles on the cards are standard, such as The World, or The Tower, but looking at the book reveals that the cards have related, but unusual, meanings when compared to "traditional" Tarot cards.

The Trumps of the Golden Tarot of the Tsar:

  • The Fool: The possession of Gerasa
  • Trump 1: The resurrection of Lazarus
