The Grimaud house (1851 - 1962) published a whole serie of Tarot de Marseille decks. The most popular would be the Ancien Tarot de Marseille by Grimaud of which several edition have been published since the beginning of the 20th century.

Baptiste Paul Grimaud creates the Grimaud company on june 12th 1851 with two fellows.
1858: contract with Firmin Chappellier who invented a way to produce cards with round metallised corner.
1866: partnership with Charles Chartier.
1888: fusion with A. Camoin & Cie (Camoin house).
The company will become very succesfull. BP Grimaud's nephews Leo and Georges Marteau and Julien Emile Boudin will get associated to the Grimaud house.
Baptiste Paul Grimaud dies on april 21st 1899.
After 1909 a new generation appears. Georges Marteau leaves. Paul Chartier takes the place of his father in 1910. Paul Marteau takes the places of his Leo Marteau in 1920.
In 1962 the Grimaud house is sold to Jean-Marie Simon (director of La Ducale).

- Paul Marteau: nephew of Georges Marteau and head of the Grimaud house (from 1920 on).
