[edit] Description

The Guide to the Tarot of the Sephiroth is an accessible, well-researched companion book to the titular deck and resource in its own right for the study of Qabalah and Tarot. The authors open the book with a compressed overview of the basics of Qabalah and the Tree of Life. From there, they tackle the deck one card at a time, with B&W artwork and a short description on one page facing a another with a substantive catalog of the symbols, spheres, colors, attributions, and energies of the card that can be woven into associations that add depth and texture to readings. The authors wrap up with brief divinatory meaning tables, some spreads, and some sample readings. In addition to being a companion guide, this book seems almost a workbook for the construction of one's own Qabalistic meanings for any Golden Dawn based Tarot.

[edit] Author's comments

"Guide to Tarot of the Sephiroth unlocks the secrets of Tarot and the Qabalah. By synthesizing many aspects of the Western Mystery Tradition including philosophy, mythology, astrology, alchemy, numerology and various spiritual paths, the book presents a clear and concise explanation of the Qabalah and reveals techniques to:

  • Engage the powers of the four elements; earth, air, fire and water
  • Tap the timeless mysteries of the numbers one to ten
  • Gain direct access to the complex energies of the Major Arcana
  • Create the future through dynamic inner work and divination

This companion to the Tarot of the Sephiroth deck presents strategies for personal evolution. It provides practical and accessible methods, focused tarot spreads, as well as clear and concise explanations.

The book is one of the best that I have seen or bought for any deck. Why? Because it enhances my knowledge of the deck 1000%. - Tarot Association of the British Isles

The book is set up in a highly accessible manner. It is compact but full of excellent information. The inner and outer aspects of the tree are explained with imaginative and claritive brilliance. They (the authors) give us a wonderful strategy for approaching the Tree of Life and the Qabalah through original tarot layouts, meditations, sample spreads, quick reference charts and great organization. It doesn't get much better than this. - Cheryl Lynne Bradley, Tarot Canada "
