[edit] Description
Deck of 78 cards, created by Giovanni Vacchetta in 1893 and republished in 2001 by Osvaldo Menegazzi [1] of Il Meneghello as a limited numbered edition of 1500 decks. Card titles are in Italian along the top of each card; suits are Bastoni (Batons), Coppe (Cups), Spade (Swords), and Denari (Coins). Both majors and minors use Roman numerals for numbering. Minors are non-scenic but not strictly "pips": the illustrations often feature significant illustrative details that can aid interpretation in readings.
Justice (La Guistizia) is VIII and Strength (La Forza) is XI.
Vacchetta's deck was also released as a recoloured version by Lo Scarabeo in 2002, entitled Tarot of the Master.
