[edit] Description
This is the companion book to the popular Robin Wood Tarot deck, and is designed to help the user of the deck understand the symbolism that the creator put into it. Wood writes in detail about each card, describing each image and symbol she has used - even the tiny ones that one may not have noticed before. Accompaning these explanations are chapters on historical theories of Tarot's origin, the history of the deck, some thoughts about Tarot ethics and how Tarot works, and some spread suggestions. The appendices explain some important themes of Paganism (such as the Wheel of the Year) which will help non-Pagans to understand the deck better, as well as the rules for one of the original Tarot games, Tarocchi.
