Talk:Marteau, Paul
From Tarotpedia
Am waiting with bated breath for this page, as Grimaud's Tarot de Marseille holds a special place in my estimation. It has what I consider the correct coloration, its coloring consistent in every respect with the bardic tradition I see as tarot's origin: the yellow stick of L'Hermite, this trump being the kidneys pictured in square-Hebrew kaf (seen from above, facing left), the yellow head-outline, sword, and scales in LaJustice linking it with the Corn Spirit, a careful adherence to predominately blue-and-red for the larger figures (so that they make a group), and especially the care with which the trumpet is separated from the angel's lips in LeJugement by a crescent-shaped 'starched collar', this being tzaddi the throat. I am eager to find what in Marteau's life might have contributed to his knowing the correct tradition, what he might have written, and so on.
