[edit] Description
Tarot Divinatoire (Divinatory Tarot) by Papus is a 78-card deck. The 22 trumps have an Egyptian flavor and follow the Tarot de Marseille. Both Papus and Eliphas Lévi place the Fool as the 21st card, between Judgement and The World. The images are surrounded by letters in different alphabets (French, Hebrew, Sanskrit and 'archeomètre Saint-Yves'), astrological signs, and have keywords at the bottom. The 56 court and pip cards are modeled after Etteilla.
The 1992 edition was accompanied by a mini book, "Le livre des mystères et les mystères du livre," which was written by Papus in 1909. One of the original copies is housed by the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
