[edit] Description
Surprisingly meaty, cogent starting point for serious study of the Tarot, focussing specifically on the Waite-Smith Tarot and drawing heavily on the Builders of the Adytum curriculum which informs her approach. For this reason, Jayanti includes some advanced occult material that one would not normally find in a beginner's guide. In 360 friendly pages, she touches on the basics of Tarot use, theory, practice, and readings. Her history sections are murky, but don't detract from the usefulness of the text.
