[edit] Description
The Tarot of Metamorphosis is a 78-card deck with surreal and striking art. Its theme is metamorphosis, change and transformation. As with most Lo Scarabeo decks, Justice is numbered VIII and Strength is numbered XI. The structure of the Minor Arcana is as follows:
- Chalices are based on Greek myths, e.g. the myth of Danae for the Ace.
- Pentacles depict technology and machinery.
- Swords are based on legends, art and literature, e.g. Kafka's Metamorphosis for the Ace.
- Wands depict nature and the elements.

"Being aware of Metamorphosis is [...] the sign of possible Metamorphosis of the conscience. This deck was designed as a key for opening the treasures of that inexhaustible reservoir of creativity that anxiously lies in our unconscious." - LWB, page 3
