[edit] Description
This 78 card deck was created in the Ukiyo-e style that gained popularity during the Edo Period (1603-1867) in Japan. Ukiyo-e is translated as "pictures of the floating world" and depicts scenes from everyday urban life. The Minor Arcana of the Ukiyoe Tarot are semi-illustrated with the suit symbols taking up most of the image. The Major Arcana are traditionally titled in both English and Japanese. The Ukiyoe Tarot is now out of print.
