I am a 22 year-old Pagan Tarot reader, currently studying for an MA in Religious Studies at Cardiff University (dissertation on "Voodoo" dolls in Graeco-Roman magic.) I have been studying and working with Tarot since the age of 9, and I read semi-professionally from home.
One of my main interests is Tarot deck collecting, and I tend to focus on decks that are drastically different (image-wise) from the traditional Rider Waite format. I particularly like collecting limited edition decks such as the Mary-el and Ironwing Tarot, not only for their rarity but also because I find that such decks dare to be different and unique in ways some mass-published decks are not.
As well as deck collecting I give talks on Tarot in South Wales - I have recently to given a talk at Witchfest Wales 2006 ("Tarot as Mythology"), following a talk I did for Witchfest in 2005 on the Tarot Court Cards. I also run a Tarot Coffee Club fortnightly in Cardiff University, where people can meet and discuss various aspects of Tarot.
My major project at the moment is the deck I am co-creating with Nic Phillips, "Sol Invictus: The God Tarot", which is a deck exploring the Divine Masculine through Gods, heroes, and legendary men from around the world, using the Tarot archetypes as a guideline.
When I'm not writing reviews of Tarot decks or articles on Tarot, I spend a lot of my time writing on other topics in the area of neo-Paganism, mythology, and magic. I also enjoy table-top roleplaying (D&D and Call of Cthulhu), fiction by Neil Gaiman, and reading anything to do with Tarot, mythology, and religion.
