Illustrator and author Robin Wood is the creator of the Robin Wood Tarot, one of the most popular Waite-Smith clones in existence.

[edit] Biography

Robin Wood is an artist and author with a devoted following. She displayed artwork at many science fiction conventions in the early 70s as a gifted amateur. She turned pro in the early 80s and has published work with TSR, L5R, Dragon Storm, and other gaming companies. She has also illustrated many Scott Cunningham books for Llewellyn Press and has published her own tarot deck through Llewellyn, the Robin Wood Tarot.

In January, 1997, Robin published a book about ethics from a Wiccan/Pagan perspective. It's called When, Why ...If. This was her first book and it's published by her own publishing house, Livingtree Books. In July, 1998, her second book was published (again under the Livingtree label) to accompany her tarot deck, entitled Robin Wood Tarot: The Book. If you want to know more about the books, about the Tarot Deck, or about Robin's art, check out her web site at www.robinwood.com.

[edit] Author's Comments

Robin's famous sayings are: "Want to buy a print?" "Oh, it wasn't hard... Honestly it wasn't." "We take plastic!" "I don't make this stuff up -- I don't have to!" "Bad juju. BAD JUJU!" Other folks reported: "Do whatever Robin says. It's easier that way." "Talk to her before you take a trip to Japan." "Ask her about deer skinning!" "Ask her about cat gravity!" "Ask her about almost anything!" "Robin once lived on saltines, did NOT turn green, took 'frail' lessons, plays 'hide the signiture,' and, oh yes, she draws, too!"
