The Chariot from the World Spirit Tarot
Contents |
[edit] Description
The World Spirit Tarot celebrates the human race in all its different shapes, ages and ethnicities. The cards are full of life and energy, and are vibrantly colored, with pitch-black borders. Like the Light and Shadow Tarot, the illustrations were created by linoleum block printing.
The deck sticks close to the Rider-Waite (so needless to say, Strength is numbered VIII and Justice is numbered XI), yet has a unique voice of its own. Page, Knight, Queen and King have been renamed Seer, Seeker, Sibyl and Sage, respectively. An interesting tidbit is that Seer of Cups has been dedicated to Pamela Colman Smith.
