From the deck's booklet:
Why Fractals?
Because the Tarot contains a deep sense of order in what appears to be random chance. Fractals represent the order that one finds in apparaent chaos. Many people question the use of the cards since they appear to be dealt at random and without any order or plan. Nothing could be less true. From the minute we pick up the cards we set events in motion. We place the cards in a pattern to discover what they may have to reveal to us. We interpret the spread based on our knowledge and understanding, we dig deep to find those centers of intuition that allow us to see what may be buried and significant. We try to ferret out those bits of information that may be of value to us or those we read for. Meditating on fractal images helps to see what is obvious and probe into the heart of the matter.
The images on these cards represent our world, our being. They show us in visual form the dance of the universe, the song of the elements, the wonder that is within us all. They are the representations of the art that exists within the science of discovery. They open and expand our mind when we behold the universe they contain.
